Hunter Youth Choir
Background: Founded in 1997, the Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music is recognised today as a leading contributor to a thriving musical and cultural presence in the Upper Hunter region. The UHCM is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation, funded partly by the NSW Department of Education. It is governed by a Committee of Management, which meets bi-monthly, and it is a member of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums.
The Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music provides music tuition at various locations throughout the region. UHCM approached me to create the brand identity for their new sister company - Hunter Youth Choir.
Solution: As indicated by the name, Hunter Youth Choir is to cater to the youth development of the choir, UHCM wanted something that looked playful, bright, and bold within the branding. This was shown using the bouncy type, which gave it a sense that it was full of energy. They have three age brackets that they tutor within HYC, these are broken up into three colours, green, red, and blue.
